I loved celebrating you today. We’re officially in a season of parenting where sleep schedules and potty timers take precedent over all the things you and I want to do. I wouldn’t want to make those sacrifices with anyone else. I adore the man you are. Hope your day was as special as you are to me, Breezy, and Teddy❤️

The @duncanandstone Childhood Memory Books are a game changer. It’s a scrapbook on steroids, created to be a gift to your child on their 18th birthday. It gives your prompts and spaces to write out all of the memories you’re making with your kids, from the moment you found out they were growing inside you until graduation day. Pages for pictures through the years, letters from mom and dad, and so much more.🥹

My maternity leave ends this week and I’m glad I took some time to record the chaos, the sweet moments in between, the quiet observations of parenthood. When my littles are big, I hope they cherish these books as much as I do🫶🏼

The best thing I can do for my kids is show them what a good life looks like, so they can live one when I’m gone.

We can either add to the fear and hate that plagues the world, or we can be a light in the dark.

My husband and I have a new goal for 2026… monthly date nights🫶🏼

It’s so hard to make time for each other when we both work and now have two sweet babies. But we know without a shadow of a doubt that our family stands on the strength of our marriage, so it’s our responsibility to work on that first.

We’ve decided to alternate months for date night planning, and I’m doing January because it’s his birthday month!

He doesn’t have social media, so any fun winter date night ideas that you have, drop them in the comments!

This is a throwback to June of last year, when we took our first cooking class together in Venice and made homemade pasta 🍝

This morning, I made a video about how l didn’t know how on Earth l’a find a way to do all the things. 2 kids is proving to be way more challenging than I thought. My newborn son has terrible reflux and it makes his sleep patterns pretty unpredictable, which means some nights I sleep great, and others, not so much. The nights I don’t sleep turn into unproductive days in the blink of an eye.
Today was shaping up to be one of those days, but I decided to do my best instead.
Yes, today isn’t my optimal day. No, days like this won’t fly when I’m back at work after my maternity leave. But I’m choosing to do my best with the time I have left. Today and every day.
So I put my son down for his nap and then started my day with a devotional. And what do I see on the first page?
“God has equipped you for everything in your path.”
God is a lot of things, but a liar isn’t one of them.
I am equipped. I have everything I need to do all the things I want. Now, I just have to do them.
Even on the days I don’t want to. Even on the days that don’t start out great.
Even when it’s hard.
No. Especially when it’s hard.
Because when you do hard things, it’s a signal to yourself - body, mind, and soul - that you are the person you say you are. That you are the person God made you to be.
Besides, the hard things in life tend to be what makes it worth living anyways. Pain and suffering only come after we have something worth losing.
Find refuge and comfort in that today. Whatever you’re going through, whatever journey you’re on, God has equipped you for it.

Your life is on a timer. The days will pass regardless of how you live them. And one day, you’ll run out of time. When that day comes, will you be satisfied with what you spent your life doing? If the answer is no, it’s time to put in some work, friend.✨

7 lbs, 12 oz. 21 inches long.

She has beautiful, curly red hair and daddy and I are absolutely in love.❤️

Baby Briella was showered with so much love yesterday! Kaden and I are truly blessed with some amazing people who love this little one already💕

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend, everyone who couldn’t come but sent their love, and to the amazing hostesses that put it all together!

It’s hard to believe that I’ll be in my third trimester on Monday. 🥲

Oklahoma Aflac 2023 Prom Night was a huge success! I’m so happy that I got to assist with this event for all of our amazing, and well deserving, agents across the state. Congratulations to all of our award winners!🤩

One of those well deserving agents happens to be my husband, who was promoted to his District Coordinator position less than 2 years ago, and last night received 4 awards in separate categories as one of the Top 3 DSC’s in the state, PLUS was nominated for DSC of the Year!

I’m so, so proud of you and all of your accomplishments! I’m so excited to see where else your career takes us and our growing family❤️🎉❤️

We are moving!

While most of these pictures are really old, my joy is not. Kaden and I have been through a lot together, and it’s getting even more interesting!

I have accepted a full time position with Aflac, which is something I said I would never do... (ironic, I know). But a position opened up at the state office in Norman, and it’s everything I need and more (hooray full benefits and 401k)!

I will be the Aflac Market Coordinator for the state of Oklahoma, handling communications, scheduling, events, and admin training. We are beyond blessed for this opportunity, but that’s not all..

Kaden has also found his dream in this move. He has been promoted to a District Sales Coordinator out of the Kopis Region in Norman. I am so proud of him and his hard work has truly paid off!

We will be moving to Norman some time in May, once we close on our new house and figure out how to rent a U-haul 😂

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people who have poured into my life, even when I didn’t know I needed it. Thank you to the Honor’s Program, Deann Marcum, Dr. McCraw, and all the other professors that showed me how limitless the future can be. Thank you to Durant Main Street and my main boss babe @stephanieelisegardner for giving me the opportunity to grow as a part of this wonderful organization. Thank you to all our amazing friends, who were and are always there for us when we need it most. Thank you to our parents, for your endless support and love. Thank you, Kaden, for giving your all to me and our future family. And thank you God for the blessings that keep on coming. We are overjoyed, and full of hope for what our future holds!

Don’t let this fool you, though. Eating healthy is hard, especially when you have a sweet tooth...
I decided that I love life too much to cast my health to the wayside, and I’ve been trying my best to adopt healthier habits since the start of 2021 (she’s says as she types out a post at 11:30 at night knowing dang well that she needs to be asleep right now and that she hasn’t exercised in over a week).
It’s a total cliche, but nobody’s perfect. And while I’m pushing myself to be healthier than I’ve ever been before, I’m also learning to give myself grace, and to love myself the way God does, regardless of how my clothes fit or how flat my stomach is. (I’m getting there😂)
2021 is all about growth and opportunity. It’s my year to be intentional in all aspects of my life. So bare with me as I post the sweaty selfies and the before and after photos. It’s a struggle, y’all 😂💜
